Spring has definitely sprung over here at Genevieve Williams Real Estate. This is our favorite time of the year in the River City for so many reasons (except the pollen, of course)! It’s the busiest time for real estate and there are countless fun activities to do around town. From festivals and concerts to broadway shows and sports, we have rounded up some of the hottest events across Jacksonville this season.

Jacksonville Jazz Festival
FESTIVALS
April 18 at Riverview Park in Jacksonville
Get shuckin’ and munch on fresh oysters at Oyster Fest 2026. This free annual event hosted by the Riverview Collective Community Organization (RCCO) will have a live band and DJ, community workshops, great food, local vendors, a fun Kid Zone… and, of course, all of the oysters you could hope for! Equal parts fun and educational for all ages.
Middleburg Spring Festival & Car Show
April 18 at the Middleburg Civic Center in Middleburg
This family-friendly event celebrating the spring season is designed for the whole community and features food trucks, arts & crafts vendors, live entertainment, kid’s activities, and a car show with both classic and vintage vehicles.
St. Augustine’s Romanza Festivale of Music & the Arts
May 1 - May 17 at Various Venues in St. Augustine
Don’t miss two weeks of daily events including dozens of concerts, shows, exhibits and more by dozens of local Arts and Cultural nonprofit organizations across America’s most romantic city.
St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival
May 6 - May 9 at Ancient City Farmstead
This year marks the 6th annual St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival. Offering a wide variety of events from wine tastings to master classes, this ticketed festival is a showcase of culinary and beverage culture with celebrity guest chefs, award-winning winemakers, local craft spirts/beer, and creations from the area’s top chefs.

St. Augustine History Festival
May 6 - May 10 at Various Historic Sites in Venues in St. Augustine
Conceived to showcase and celebrate the history of America’s oldest city, the St. Augustine History Festival is comprised of wide variety of over 30 special events and historic sites that showcase every era of the city’s long and stories past.
May 21 - May 24 at Ford on Bay in Downtown Jacksonville
Since its inception in 1981, the Jacksonville Jazz Festival has become one of the largest free jazz fests in the country. Enjoy music, community, and good vibes all weekend long. Highlights of the upcoming 2026 event include the Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition and performances by Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton, Andra Day, Nile Rodgers & Chic.
May 25 at Spring Park in Green Cove Springs
This free family-friendly celebration on Memorial Day features over 100 food and craft vendors, live entertainment, bounce slides, face painting, games all day long and culminates in a spectacular fireworks show at sundown.

May 7- May 9 at Camachee Cove in St. Augustine
Hosted by the Northeast Florida Marlin Association, the 54th annual Bluewater Tournament features two days of Captain’s Choice format fishing with a field of 50+ boats offering cash prizes for a variety of categories including high roller, gamefish aggregate, and overall billfish.
May 8 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena
Friday Night SmackDown and your favorite WWE superstars returns to Jacksonville for one night only. This event isn’t just professional wrestling — its a true performance with high-flying action and major storylines.
May 16 in Downtown Jacksonville
Making its debut in the River City, IRONMAN athletes will cycle and race through city streets and swim across the St. Johns River in an event that is sure to be unforgettable for both participants and spectators alike. It’s truly urban racing at its finest!

A touring Broadway show created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A Beautiful Noise is uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon of famous songs like like "America" and "Sweet Caroline".

Courtney Lewis leads a Jacksonville Symphony program that blends timeless classics with bold new sounds highlighted by one of classical music’s most powerful works, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.

May 6 at the Thrasher-Horne Center
Dr. Seuss’ wild imagination come to the stage in this beloved children’s tale based on the 200-word book. Expect laughs, surprises, and a bit of delightful disorder!
May 8 - May 9 at UNF Fine Arts Center
The Florida Ballet tells the tale of an eccentric toy maker and the lifelike doll he creates in this lighthearted love story. An abbreviated performance of Coppélia is also available at select showtimes designed with younger audiences in mind.
May12 - May 17 at the Jacksonville Center of Performing Arts
After earning his stripes on Broadway, the ghost-with-the-most is coming to Jacksonville. Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes.
June 18 - August 9 at the Alhambra Theatre
Join Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Fiona in a stage adaptation of the beloved fairy tale adventure of a kind-hearted green ogre who loves his solitude, but reluctantly goes on a quest to protect his home and rescue the princess.
